Hi Team,
Is anyone encountering a similar issue with Rovo agents and Google Sheets in Slack?
I integrated my Rovo agent into a Slack channel, but it's unable to read Google Sheet content when invoked from the channel. The same agent works perfectly when accessed through any Atlassian product or the Rovo app in Slack — it reads the Google Sheet data without any issues.
What I've already tried:
Error message received (Slack channel only): "I am unable to access the [sheet name] at the moment due to a permissions issue."
The agent reads the same sheet successfully in the Rovo app in Slack, which suggests the issue is specific to the Slack channel invocation context rather than the Google Drive connector or sheet permissions themselves.
Any help or similar experiences appreciated. Thanks!
Hello and welcome to Community @Rex Fruelda
This is a permission-context issue probably (it mostly are). In private chats, Rovo uses your personal access, but in Slack channels, it operates under a restricted bot identity to safeguard data. To fix it, ensure the underlying bot account used for your Slack integration has been given explicit read access to that Google Sheet.
If it still fails despite having proper access, reach out to Atlassian Support.
Best,

Thank you for the response. I already gave it access but still same result. I'll reach out to Atlassian Support for further checking. Thanks!
Regards,
Rex
