Hi there!
Can you confirm that Rovo stores and processes all input and output data only within the Atlassian Cloud Platform? We also want to make sure that none of our company’s Rovo-related data is sent to any third-party systems or environments outside the Atlassian cloud.
Thank you
Howdy @Monique Richardson !
You can read all about how Rovo handles your data here, on Atlassian's website: https://www.atlassian.com/software/rovo/guides/admin-guide/rovo-data-usage-privacy#large-language-models
Most pertinant might be the first FAQ item:
Large language models (LLMs)
Rovo uses OpenAI LLMs (GPT) as well as open-source (Mistral, LLaMA) and third-party hosted LLMs (Claude, Gemini), to provide personalized and contextual insights as well as optimize latency across Rovo Search, Chat and Agents. The LLM providers we use do not use your inputs and outputs to improve their services.
Hope this helps!
Robert

Data is transferred outside, but does follow existing Atlassian security practices.
When using Rovo, data is transferred outside of the current site to third party LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI) in order to generate a response. Even though the data is transferred, it follows existing Atlassian security practices. For Rovo, each data request is sent to our LLM providers individually, over an SSL-encrypted service, to process and send back to Atlassian.
Other customers do not have access to your data.
The data you submit and the responses you receive are used only to serve your experience. They are not used to train models across customers or shared between customers.
