Welcome to the community @MEENA RITESH Sadly, this one’s pretty common right now—“Agent process terminated (exit code 1)” usually isn’t your code, it’s the Rovo Dev runtime crashing. Try this first:

• Restart VS Code
• Run “Rovo Dev: Start new session”
• Re-authenticate Atlassian account
• Disable/re-enable the extension

If it keeps happening, it’s likely a backend/runtime issue (others have reported it). Capture the timestamp and logs and raise a Support ticket—there’s no stable fix on your side when the agent process crashes like this.

Confirm the Rovo Dev CLI version and installation
In the terminal (outside of VS Code):
rovo --version
If it shows “command not found” or something similar:
Install or reinstall Rovo Dev following the official guide (Mac/Linux/Windows):
https://www.atlassian.com/software/rovo/dev
If a version appears but the error continues:
Update to the latest version:
rovo upgrade
or reinstall from the official installer.
After installing/updating:
Close VS Code completely.
Open VS Code again.
Try opening the Rovo Dev panel and starting a new chat.
