MCP tool calls no longer working via Rovo

We have the MCP server connected to Rovo as a Connected App, and then called through a custom agent. However, it seems there was a recent change, and regardless of how much I prompt, Rovo will not invoke any of the skills associated with the MCP server. Instead, it simply hallucinates and relies on prior memories to make up answers. Is anyone else running into this issue? 

EDIT: we were able to resolve this with a change to our MCP server.
