Rovo and Slack are connected for my organisation.
But when i ask to Rovo in Slack (Rovo app on Slack), it says "An error occurred while processing your request"
Hi Ghata,
This usually happens when the Slack - Rovo setup isn’t fully completed, even if it looks connected. Most of the time it’s either:
The Slack workspace isn’t correctly mapped to your Atlassian cloud site, or
The Slack connector in Atlassian Admin needs to be re‑authorized.
If you’re a Slack/Atlassian admin, try this:
Re‑run the Rovo for Slack onboarding and make sure the correct Atlassian site is selected and the bot account is set.
In admin.atlassian.com → Apps → AI settings → Rovo, open your site and check the Slack connector. If it shows “reauthorize” or any warning, re‑authorize it while logged into the right Slack workspace.
After that, test again by sending a simple DM like "hi" to the Atlassian Rovo app in Slack.
If you’re not an admin, you’ll need to share these steps with your Slack/Atlassian org admin so they can fix the mapping/authorization on your workspace.

Yes – besides the connector you see in Jira/Atlassian Admin (Jira → Slack), there is a separate configuration on the Slack side (Slack → Atlassian/Rovo), and that part is usually what causes this kind of error.
Even if the Slack connector in Atlassian is green, you still need to make sure the Atlassian Rovo app is properly installed and onboarded in Slack:
• A Slack admin should install/open the Atlassian Rovo app in Slack and go through the onboarding.
• During that flow they must:
Map the correct Slack workspace to the correct Atlassian cloud site.
Choose the bot account and confirm permissions for channels.
• After that, test by sending a simple DM like hi to the Atlassian Rovo app in Slack.

If the connector on the Jira/Atlassian side is already configured, I’d focus on re‑running this Slack‑side onboarding to make sure the workspace is actually mapped to your site.
