@Julien No—GitHub’s coding agent can’t use the Atlassian MCP server. Atlassian hasn’t opened MCP to external LLM clients yet, so only approved tools (Rovo Dev, Cursor preview, etc.) can authenticate. GitHub agents can’t provide the required MCP token, so integration isn’t possible today.

Hey @Julien ,
You could maybe try using this channel as well (used for feedback, bugs and feature requests): Help Center / Atlassian MCP

Hi @Julien ,
I'm just going to move this to Rovo app forum group so people there can jump in.
Not an expert on this here, but these resources might help:
Getting started with the Atlassian Remote MCP Server | Rovo | Atlassian Support
Using with other supported MCP clients | Rovo | Atlassian Support
Setting up IDEs (desktop clients) | Rovo | Atlassian Support
Cheers,
Tobi
