I would like to link issues using mcp server from my vscode. But when I tried to do that its not working and asking me to move to using browser which I dont want to do it.
Hi @Arun George welcome to the community- Today, Atlassian’s MCP server requires a browser-based OAuth sign-in for Jira actions (including linking issues). If VS Code prompts you to “move to the browser,” that’s the required auth step—you can’t link issues via MCP without completing it. If you need a non-browser flow, use the Jira REST API with a PAT/OAuth app outside MCP, then link issues via the REST “issue links” endpoint.
yes, I know this. I do had problems in configuring in vscode/cursor. But finally I was able to get it working. Are you saying that with newer version of rovo they allow issue linking?
