I created a custom agent for creating Bitbucket pull requests and added the required skills to it. However, I'm facing several issues that make it unusable.
Issues:
Expected behavior:
At the moment, the agent is not performing as expected and is causing significant frustration. I would appreciate it if the team could investigate these issues and let me know if there are any known limitations with custom agents, skills, or memory support.
Hi @Yudhees,
Thanks for sharing this. I can understand how frustrating this must be, especially after spending time configuring the agent and its skills.
The memory behavior is the part that caught my attention the most. If the agent says it has saved something but doesn't actually retain it in a new session, it can be quite confusing. It would be great if someone from the Rovo team could clarify whether this is a current limitation or an issue that's being worked on.
I also hope the PR creation and response time improve as Rovo continues to evolve. Thanks again for taking the time to document everything so clearly—it will definitely help the team investigate.
Thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to look into it.
Yes, the memory behavior is the biggest issue right now. The agent says it has saved information, but when I start a new session, it doesn't remember anything, which makes it difficult to rely on for longer workflows.
At this point, I've found it's actually faster to handle things manually than hand them over to the agent. Between the inconsistent memory, slow responses, and PR creation issues, I end up spending more time waiting or correcting the agent than doing the work myself.
I'm hoping these areas improve because the overall concept is promising. Once the agent becomes more reliable, especially with memory and end-to-end task execution, it could be a huge productivity boost.
