I didn't ask for it, don't want it. and functionally it make the Jira product a very poor user experience. Every time I open a ticket the information moves around as you try to click somewhere or even just read it because of Rovo. If I could do so I would remove Jira from our estate but sadly am stuck with it for now.
Your arrogance to enforce this on customers without any ability to disable it is unbelievable.
Welcome to the community.
Your Organisation admin can disable this.
The admin can take these steps in Atlassian administration; go to Apps > AI settings > AI-enabled apps and toggle off the relevant features
https://support.atlassian.com/rovo/docs/turn-rovo-dev-features-on-and-off/
Thanks but disabling doesn't work.
To be clear I am referring to disabling the Contents summary that appears below the Activity titled section in a support ticket. Seems to affect any project type.
If I open a ticket from the Issue list view, Jira generates this URL and the ROVO summary does NOT appear:
[E8S-4461] Create a new template for BSP Poland with 'Jet' logo - Jira
** https://amazonfilters.atlassian.net/issues?filter=16754&selectedIssue=E8S-4461 **
If I open the same ticket via an email notification using this URL, then the ROVO summary DOES appear:
[E8S-4461] Create a new template for BSP Poland with 'Jet' logo - Jira

Thanks Marc,
Contacted support and it's a no go.
FYI for anyone else who has read all this:

Thanks for explaining your situation so clearly. Currently, there is no documented way to disable or hide the ROVO (Contents) summary that appears below the Activity section in the Jira Service Management issue view, regardless of how you access the ticket.
Key Points
1. ROVO Summary Display Behavior
The ROVO summary appears when opening an issue directly via the /browse/ URL (like from an email notification).
It does not appear when opening the same issue from the Issue list view (/issues?filter=...&selectedIssue=...).
This difference is due to how Jira renders the issue view in different contexts, not a configurable setting 1.
2. Disabling or Hiding the ROVO Summary
There is currently no admin or user setting to disable or hide the ROVO summary in the issue view for any project type.
The ROVO summary is part of Atlassian’s AI-powered features and is not listed as a field or section that can be removed via the issue layout or request type configuration 2.
No workaround is documented for suppressing this summary in the UI or via permissions.
3. Related Feature Requests and Bugs
There are ongoing feature requests and bugs for hiding or customizing fields and summaries in the issue view, but none specifically address the ROVO summary 3 4.
You can watch these tickets to get notified of any updates or changes.
What You Can Do
If the ROVO summary is disruptive, consider providing feedback directly through Atlassian’s feedback channels or by commenting/watching the related feature request tickets.
For now, the only way to avoid seeing the ROVO summary is to access issues via the Issue list view, as you’ve already discovered.
