Hello,
I am trying to find the best possible way to call one of the intake forms directly from my custom Rovo agent.  I have currently instructed the agent if anyone writes /intake then share the intake form with them. But it would be great if it can directly show up or call the intake form. Let me know if this is doable.

@Monika Rangra Welcome to Atlassian Community!

To better understand the use case and suggest the right approach, could you please share a bit more detail around the following?

  • What behavior are you expecting when a user types /intake, should it open the form inline, redirect the user, or trigger some other action?
  • Where is the intake form hosted and where should the submitted data be stored (e.g., Jira issue creation, Assets object, external system)?
  • Should the form be rendered directly within the Rovo chat experience, or in another Atlassian product such as Jira or Confluence?
  • How is your custom Rovo agent built, using Rovo Studio or via a Forge-based implementation?

Hi @Akash Singh

Please see my response below -

  • It would be ideal if it opens the form inline. I don't want the user to press 'enter'.
  • We have built the intake form on google appscript and once the user submits the request, it creates a Jira issue
  • Yes, it would be great to fetch the intake form link directly within the Rovo chat experience.
  • I have given instructions to my rovo agent to gather request details from the users. They can either use a chat based experience (rovo agent) to create a request or simply use the form link and fill the intake form.

@Monika Rangra Unfortunately, the Rovo chat experience does not currently support slash commands or inline forms within the chat interface. At this time, there’s also no way to render or embed a Google Apps Script form directly within Rovo or Jira.

As a workaround, you could include a direct link to the form in the agent’s greeting or response message so users can easily access it when they start interacting with your Rovo agent.
