What is the Get Started with Rovo Course? [Earn 150 Kudos Points]

Hi Community! 👋

This week as part of Go AI-Native with Rovo, we're kicking things off with a learning course!

Whether you've dabbled with AI tools or you're already deep in the space, this course gives you the full picture of what Atlassian Rovo brings to the table.

⭐️ This week’s challenge

Complete the Get started quickly with Rovo learning course (it only takes ~25 minutes!)

This course will help you discover the power of Rovo Search, Chat, Studio, and Agents – and gets you started using Rovo right away. After completing it, you'll be able to:

  • Locate and use Rovo Search, Chat, Studio, Agents, and AI features across Atlassian apps and connected third-party platforms
  • Access Rovo and AI features administration

Complete the course and you’ll unlock:

  • 🏆 Rovo Explorer badge

💡Insider Rovo Tip: In Rovo Chat, use your first prompt to set the rules for the whole session. Start with constraints (e.g. "Keep answers under 3 sentences, always cite the source page, write for a technical audience") and every Rovo response after will follow them – like giving your AI a rulebook before it starts working. If you want to adjust the responses, just ask Rovo!

Ready to dive in? Head to the course link above and complete it, then come back here and tell us: Which Rovo feature are you most excited to try (or do you already love using)? Or what's one thing from the course you didn't know before? Drop your answer in the comments below!

And remember, this is just the first step in your month-long journey so stay tuned for new challenges dropping each week!

Completed the course - nice quick intro to Rovo! 💙 ✨

The feature I'm most excited about is Rovo Agents. I really like the idea of creating agents for repeated tasks, like summarising notes, structuring information or helping teams find the right info faster. Also loved the tip about setting rules in the first prompt. Simple, but very useful, especially when you want the output to stay short, structured, and source-based 😊

Looking forward to the next challenges! 🚀 💙

I had already completed this course before committing "Go AI-Native with Rovo", but I can confidently say that Rovo Studio has most of my interest for a couple of reasons. First, being able to create your own agent with your exact needs seems like the most powerful attribute. Second, creating your own Agent is also the most the challenging and has the most room for growth, which I'm always excited for.

I finished the course, though I was already familiar with the basics from using Rovo daily. We recently migrated to the cloud, and I'm happy to have Rovo — some tasks, especially cleanup after migration, are much quicker with it. I've already used the full palette it offers, but I'm sure I can still benefit from this. There's always a trick or two you can pick up on such a journey.

Definitely a nice intro to Rovo, and if you're keen to see what AI in Atlassian can do. But it can also do much more when combined with Forge (e.g., Forge agents or Studio Apps), which can ultimately deliver pretty cool results and benefits, a.k.a. time savings. 💪

Hey @Tori Kaulins

interesting Tip you are sharing. Could we not use Rovo's explicit memory for general rules we like Rovo to follow for every session?

I had already completed the course previously, but I love an agent I created to help write our customer-facing release notes from our internal release notes! Huge time saver and already has the context needed to make the AI useful rather than a nuisance.
