Future for self-hosted runner V4

This article mentions self-hosted runners V5 is premium and V3 is free.
https://www.atlassian.com/blog/bitbucket/announcing-the-next-chapter-for-bitbucket-pipelines-runners

However there is no mention of V4 except for some user comments. What will happen to them. I am looking for official Atlassian documentation.

 Must we switch to V3 to enable free runners?

I was wondering the same thing and I just saw a notification in the Workspace runners configuration interface explaining that v4 runners are also free.
