How to change the critical alert sound on iPhone

The default tone which is played on critical alerting is too short - roughly less than a second.

 

I would like to change it to a sound where the volume is rising and playing for some seconds.

Hi @Rick ,

Unfortunately, it looks like there is no way to customize the notification played by the iOS 'critical alerts' feature at this time.

Thanks for the info.

As a fallback I use multiple notification rule entries with ascending wait minutes:

E.g.
Notify me via mobile at iPhone X ... immediately
Notify me via mobile at iPhone X ... 1 minutes
Notify me via mobile at iPhone X ... 2 minutes
Notify me via mobile at iPhone X ... 3 minutes
Notify me via mobile at iPhone X ... 4minutes

Not good, but better than missing an alert.
