Itโs been a few days since Team โ25 Europe wrapped up in Barcelona, and after a 20-hour journey back to Pune, Iโm still reeling from all the announcements, conversations, and product inspiration I absorbed during the event.
While the venue remained the same, there was an undeniable difference in the air this year. Maybe it was the recent Atlassian announcements that had renewed the excitement in Teams.
My journey kicked off with the Community Event on Sunday - Port of Call Barcelona, setting the tone for the days ahead. The Unconference was a highlight, where Solution Partners and Marketplace Partners came together to discuss the latest trends in the Atlassian ecosystem and brainstorm how we can move forward. A lot of great ideas and conversations were exchanged, setting the stage for a week of collaboration. ๐ค๐ก
Speaking of the city, Barcelona didnโt disappoint! Although Camp Nou wasnโt complete, I managed to catch a thrilling Espanyol vs Real Betis match โฝ๏ธ๐ฅ. The atmosphere at the La Liga game was electric, and despite not following either team, I found myself cheering alongside passionate fans, an experience I wonโt forget! ๐
Coming back to the work stuff and the heart of the event: Atlassian announcements. The focus was squarely on Rovo and how itโs transforming day-to-day workflows by accelerating tasks and increasing efficiency โก.
An announcement that stood out for me was Rovo Studio, where you can simply provide a prompt, and the Rovo agent will write code, test it, and deploy it in Jira. Itโs a game-changer, and I couldnโt help but laugh thinking, โEven marketing and sales folks might be writing code now!โ ๐๐ป
The push towards AI was clear, with Atlassian positioning it as a central driver of innovation ๐. The Customer Service Management solution, powered by Rovo AI, was particularly interesting. It can now handle basic customer queries, and when needed, seamlessly hand them off to the relevant customer support engineer with all the context, making support more efficient than ever before. ๐งโ๐ป๐ฌ
As a security vendor with a booth at the event, the most impactful conversations happened right there with customers, discussing identity and data security in the context of Atlassian Cloud.
Thereโs still so much ground to cover in delivering end-to-end security across the Atlassian ecosystem, and it was great to engage with customers who are at different stages of their cloud migration journeys. ๐โ๏ธ
The Braindates were another highlight, as they provided a platform for discussions around cloud migration, Rovo innovations, and strategies to optimize license costs while maintaining high levels of efficiency. ๐ง ๐ก
With the official announcement of the End of Life for Data Center, cloud migration has skyrocketed from being No. 5 on the priority list to No. 1 for all DC customers ๐๐.
The focus at Team'25 Europe was clear: customers are asking how they can ensure the security of their data while migrating, incorporate data governance and compliance, and create a secure cloud environment in light of the increasing number of cloud breaches ๐๐ฅ.
A major topic of discussion was also whether the cloud experience would match or exceed the performance they enjoyed with the Data Center, and how we can maintain the same level of security and functionality during and after the migration.
As Atlassian Guard continues to evolve, our mission as security vendors isnโt to compete, it's to complement and enhance. Thereโs still a lot of work to do, and we're all in to deliver end-to-end security across the entire Atlassian ecosystem! ๐๐ช
Hereโs how weโre tackling it:
Back to the fun stuff, the legendary Bash party ๐ถ. Music, lights, dancing, and those random yet unforgettable convos that stick with you longer than any keynote ๐. The party ended too soon (as always) ๐ข, but the memories? Pure GOLD โจ. And what better way to close it than on Barcelona beach? ๐๏ธ They nailed it! ๐ฅ
Team โ26 has already been announced, and itโs going to be at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim from May 5โ7, 2026. Whether youโre into product reveals, partner networking, or just vibing with the Atlassian community, next yearโs event is sure to be another banger.
I look forward to connecting with more of you in the US next year!
Here's my Camera roll for this event!
