While we're on the subject of swag... wasn't one of the options a donation to some charity or another?
I think that's a really cool option. I recently got an invite to Deviniti's Jira Day, and noticed this bit:
Your participation matters - for each active Jira Day member we will donate 1$ for a chosen charity!
That's pretty cool.
I mean hey, I appreciate a free shirt as much as anyone. And yes, being able to bring goodies back home, or to the office, or to your local user group is cool.
But the option to consume less is greatly appreciated.
