Stories not moving to next Sprint

Upon closure of a Sprint, incomplete stories (not done) are not moving to the next active sprint, even thought the sprint is created on the  board. Every time, we are manually tagging the next sprint by clicking the link from Sprint report and doing the Bulk  Edit. But we are losing the Sprint history by mass editing the stories. We are using jira version v6.4.10. Please help us to overcome this issue. Thanks in Advance.
