Is there a way to force user to log work time on issue card when moving though each column on board?

Hi

On my Kansan board columns are mapped to a workflow. Before user move the issue card from one column to the next I like to force user to enter the time spent in current column before it gets moved to the next column. Is there a way to enforce this? I read somewhere you need to do this through the workflow but I don't know how.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can do that in workflow.  You want to add a "screen" to the transition from one status to the next, place the log work field on it, and then add a validator to enforce the users entering something in the field.
