Hi Community,
Considering the rollout about the New Navigation mentioned here, does anyone know what will happen to customers with a mix of different versions? For example, if Jira is on the Premium version and JSM is on the Standard version?
Thanks a lot!
Roberto
we are on the new navigation EAP with a premium JIRA and standard JSM, the JSM projects were changed to the new navigation as well.
It would be a serious problem if it weren’t so. Thanks anyway.
Hi Roberto,
I've heard conflicting messages from Atlassian (from 'Support', Community, and Articles.)
According to the recent webinar conducted by @Kristin Perchal, she provided the following rollout timeline.
She also mentioned that if users had a mix of Premium & Standard products, they would go with the LATER of the two. So, if we have Jira Premium and Product Discovery Standard, the release would track with the "Premium" timeline.
I also heard her say there would be an OPT IN/OUT before it was enabled in sites.
I'm hopeful that since Kristin is the Sr. Product Mgr that this information will be accurate.
If anyone experiences something else, please let us know!!! :)
Thanks,
Mark
@Roberto Ialino We put our latest timelines in this article and added what happens to mixed subscription/editions as an FAQ. But I'll reply here as well:
To maintain consistency across products, you’ll get the new navigation based on the product that has the highest edition.
For example, if your site has Jira on a Premium edition and Confluence on a Standard edition, then both products will get the new navigation according to the Premium edition’s timelines, i.e., mid-May 2025.
Hope this helps!
