Requesting the latest Jira Work Item Icons from the Atlassian Design System site for new nav cutover
Can Atlassian Admins please be granted access to download the new Jira Work icons—ideally as SVGs— that are currently available only to Atlassian staff on the Atlassian Design System site? Atlassian Design System Icon Explorer
These icons appear to be newer and different from both what’s currently in our Sandbox and what showed up (inconsistently) in our Prod instance when I enabled the new navigation in my personal Admin settings a couple of days ago.
From adoption and UX perspectives, I really want to avoid a third round of icon changes for end users. They’ll already be adjusting to:
- A brand-new navigation layout
- The shift in terminology (Spaces vs. Projects, Work vs. Issues)
- And now, potentially, multiple icon sets
That’s all a hefty cognitive load! When I shared all three icon sets internally (thinking maybe it was just me), the new icons were the clear favorite—they’re modern, more dark mode-friendly, and honestly… stunning!
