Marketing Inspiration from Weird Sources? 🤡

Hiiii everybody!

I'm Niamh and I just wanna chat with you guys:

A lot of my marketing inspiration doesn’t actually come from marketing… it comes from the wild, colourful world of early 00’s Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon 😅 (think bold shapes, weird fonts, chaotic fun... SpongeBob!). That era really shaped how I see design -  playful, human, a little bit tongue-in-cheek.

I’m curious where you guys pull inspiration from outside the usual industry sources? Music? Architecture? Gaming? Would love to hear!

It might sound a bit simple, but I find my inspiration in nature, in those breathtaking landscapes. When I go for a walk, I really pay attention to the little details around me. I just love the way nature mixes colors and shapes.

Thanks for your input, I really resonate with this too! Also, it's soooo good for your mental health when you're just walking and taking in the environment. That feeling of mindfulness can really soothe you after a hectic day :D

Even simple daily tasks, like cooking breakfast, can spark inspiration. But for me, nothing fuels it more than fresh emotions and a good rest :)

That's a very curious topic @Niamh Parry! 

And thought-provoking, at least for me. I have a very weird approach to the whole concept of 'marketing', and usually it's nothing related to the good old rules and books.

To me, everything in life is marketing - it's how you present yourself to your relatives, your friends, or a random person on the street. The impression you make is marketing, as well as your words and actions.

As @domska_m I find inspiration when I am surrounded by nature and solitude. It makes me appreciate all the things in life that don't need marketing to stand out. But also to think about how to implement this state in my day-to-day life and work.
