Hi there!
I am a brand new Loom user and have found that you can string multiple Loom videos together in one. This is super helpful if I need to edit a chunk out and re film it.
However - no matter what I've tried - all my Loom videos have perfect audio when they are separated. But once I "add a loom" video to my main Loom essentially stringing a second video into the main one - all the audio distorts and also lags. One of the clips - the audio turns chopping and skips, then the second loom the audio lags. When I click save - it saves the audio like that. What is going on here?
Hi @Tess Baird ,
This is likely a codec/sample-rate mismatch issue in Loom's stitching tool. When two recordings have slightly different audio encoding settings (e.g., different sample rates or bitrates), combining them can cause distortion, choppiness, or lag.
What to try:
1.Re-record both clips in the same session settings — same browser, same mic, no changes between takes.
2.Use Loom's trim/split tool instead — rather than recording separately and stitching, record one long take and trim out the bad section.
3.Clear browser cache and try stitching again — sometimes cached processing artifacts cause this.
to clarify - the 2 separate loom recordings have perfect audio UNTIL I string them together in the editing tool.

Have you tried this with any other recordings? I haven't seen this happen, but am wondering if there's something odd about these particular recordings. You might need to reach out to support for more in-depth help on this one if it's specific to these videos.
