The issue started after I installed and began using an external USB microphone. Before that, the Loom desktop app worked normally.

Since installing the microphone, Loom does not correctly detect or record audio, and the desktop app does not function properly when recording my screen. The microphone works well in other applications, so the issue seems specific to Loom.

Please let me know if this could be related to audio input settings, permissions, or compatibility, and how I can fix it.

Hi Angela! If you click on the audio button from your recorder (before you start recording), you should be able to select your preferred mic:

It sounds like Loom isn't detecting your USB mic properly. Try checking the audio input settings in Loom and ensure it has permission to access your microphone. If that doesn't help, try reinstalling Loom or updating it to the latest version. Also, test the mic in other apps to confirm it's working fine. Let me know if that fixes it!
