This week I passed the Atlassian Credentialed in JSM Fundamentals with AI assessment. While the credential is exciting, the biggest takeaway wasn’t the badge—it was realizing how AI is becoming part of everyday IT service management. Here are three things that stood out to me while preparing: • AI is most valuable when it helps people resolve work faster, not when it simply automates everything. • Good service management starts with understanding workflows before introducing technology. • Even small improvements in repetitive support tasks can create meaningful business impact. I’m still at the beginning of my Atlassian journey, but my long-term goal is to contribute to the Atlassian Community and continue learning from experienced professionals. If you’ve worked with Jira Service Management, I’d love to hear: What’s one lesson you wish you’d learned earlier?

Congratulations! 🎉
One lesson I wish I'd learned earlier is that technology is rarely the hardest part, people and processes are. You can build a perfect JSM solution, but if it doesn't fit the way teams actually work then adoption will always be a challenge.
Keep learning, keep experimenting, and don't be afraid to ask questions. The Atlassian Community is full of people who are happy to help. Wishing you all the best on your journey! 😊 💙
