Forty8Fifty Labs (a Veristor company) is seeking experienced Atlassian Support Engineers to join the team located in Duluth, Georgia. As a member of Forty8Fifty’s Support Services Team, you will have the opportunity to use the Atlassian skills you have and build new ones.
You will support a wide range of Atlassian environments across multiple clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 and everything in between. If you love Atlassian products and see yourself supporting them full time, this is the perfect job for you.
Essential Functions:
The Atlassian Level 2 Support Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for customers that utilize Atlassian products and will be responsible for providing excellent customer service through professional written and verbal communication with customers in various roles. You will be responsible for patching and upgrading customer's Atlassian Products as well as responding to change, problem, and incident tickets on a 24x7 on-call basis.
Other functions include:
- Provide prompt, accurate follow-up to tickets and support calls
- Set up, administer and support Atlassian Tools: JIRA, JIRA Service Desk or Confluence
- Share knowledge of issues and corresponding resolutions or workarounds with partner teams (including, but not limited to, the creation of new knowledge base articles/solutions and procedures)
- Maintain multiple JIRA and Confluence environments per Atlassian best practices
Job Requirements:
- Experience patching and upgrading Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products
- Amazon Web Services experience ( EC2, RDS, ELB )
- Windows and Linux system administration skills (experience managing servers in a production or development environment)
- Experience with researching and managing 3rd party add-ons for JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with creating basic dashboards and filters
- Experience documenting processes and procedures
- Scripting skills – ability to automate basic tasks with scripts
- Security knowledge – Understanding of SSL encryption, basic operating system hardening, firewalls, filesystem permissions, etc.
- 3-5 years experience with both Linux and Atlassian tools
- Proxy and load balancer knowledge is a plus
Non-Technical Requirements:
- Customer focused
- Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and team members
- Self-starter with ability to operate in a high paced and often high visibility environment
