Having trouble with the slowness of Zephyr. Everything related to Zephyr Test Case management is extremely slow, while Jira itself (viewing board/tickets) is operating at the expected speed.
Creating/cloning test cases is troublesome, for example: test steps are not transferred on clone. Setting up test cycles works but it takes forever to complete the operation. Same goes for the execution of test cases: marking results and navigating between different test cases takes you back to the nineties.
This does not happen all the time: there are good days and bad days, though the bad days seem to have become more frequent recently.
Any tips or help on this would be appreciated! Not sure what things I could try from my end to resolve this.
Welcome to Atlassian Commuity!
One thing you could try is to do a re-index, that should help with the slowness. We do a re-index twice a week in order to work around this.
Thank you, I appreciate you trying to help out on this. Let me check to see if any other user is aware of this procedure and has done this recently. I am not very familiar with these Jira actions, but I found a helpful article on this so I will give it a go after office hours. Based on what the article says it does sound like this could be the issue and it definitely sounds like something that should be done recently! Thank you for calling that out.
Will drop an update afterwards!

@Mikael Sandberg would this apply to Jira Cloud also, because per the article I pulled up it does not appear to do so. Our project runs on Jira Cloud, so in that case this would not be what is causing the trouble.

Yes, the re-index applies to Cloud as well. Also make sure that you are on the latest version of Zephyr, you should see an info notice if you are not.
