Request to provide customers notification of impending password expiration

Hi Team,

 

Since from past one month our users are facing serious issue saying that ..

Users are locked out of their accounts because their password has not been changed in the last 60 days.  However, the users receives no notification of the impending password expiration and reminder to change, nor are they informed on how to recover their password.  Please enable a reminder notification to be sent to customer prior to password expiration, suggest at least 7 days.

(OR)

 At least redirect the user to the password reset page if his password has expired since his last login. 

PLZ  do needful ASAP.

Note: Current version of JIRA is 

  • 7.6.1

Hi

 

THere is no password expiration policy in JIRA as far as I remember.

 

Maybe this feature has been added by an app you purchased.

I guess yes but it's not recommended.

 

I would use an app to manage that.

Best practice would be to use an external directory to manage user account and implement SAML SSO.
