Jira Team field not showing teams I've created

So I've followed the instructions here https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/work-with-atlassian-teams-across-your-products/

and here: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/using-atlassian-teams-in-jira-projects/

I added the Team field to my screen. Now when I select the field the list of values in it bares no relation to the Teams I have created. The teams I have created don't show up and the Shared Teams that appear, I have no idea where they are managed and created.

Hello @Sanjay Samani 

Currently the Teams field shows only Teams that are created through the Plans menu, which relates to Advanced Roadmaps functionality.

The Teams that are created under Teams menu item are a separate entity that is not available for use in a field in Jira issues.

I recall seeing a post about changes coming to the Teams functionality. I'm trying to find it. When I do, I'll post it here.
