I'm trying to clone an issue to another issue (in a different project) using automation, this issue includes cascading field, which is called 'Departments & Sections'. I'm trying to find Departments & Sections field to copy from the trigger issue, but I couldn't find it. Is there an alternative way to copy the cascading field value to another issue, for example using the 'Additional fields'?
For cascading select you have to use the additional fields - json input format. See the KB https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/set-value-for-cascading-field-with-jira-automation-1456179215.html for detailed instructions.
Hope this helps!

Hello @Yousuf Al Rawahi
What are the project Types of the source and destination projects? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu, looking at the Type column for the two projects.
If you manually try to create an issue in the destination project, is the Departments & Sections field part of the Create Issue screen?

Both source and destination project are Service management project type. I'm creating an issue from the source manually, but the destination project is automated.
Yes, the Departments & Sections field is part of the Create Issue screen
