Hi Evan,

Confluence is licensed for 2000 users.

Can you please let me know how to check licenses for Discussion?

Thanks.

If you go to the settings cog in the top right hand corner -> Manage add-ons -> Select User installed add-ons. You should then be able to click on the Discussion add-on and view the license tier. You will need confluence administrator rights to do this.

It shows below:

License details:2000-user commercial license, Standard, expires Aug 16, 2017
License status:License is for an older version and maintenance has expired

Looks like the license has expired some time ago!

Assuming the plugin was working after Aug 16, 2017 - Has it been updated recently? If so its likely the plugin has been updated from a version that was free, to a paid version that now needs a valid license.

You could disable the plugin temporarily until you purchase a license.

Or generate a temporary evaluation license from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212012/discussion?hosting=server&tab=overview

If you don't want to use the discussion plugin, then disable the add-on and remove the feature from the confluence page and the error will go.

Regards

Evan
