Need help with Structure - Planning Tasks

Hi,

I am looking for ways to disable the "Planning Tasks" from the Structure for users ?

Is there any way this could be done from the admin console ? Maybe by disabling any specific modules from the Plugin

Thank you

Hello @Aisha M

Planning tasks as a feature can't be displayed; however you can:

- limit the users ability to create Planning tasks in a structure by only giving them the View permission access to the structure. This permission doesn't allow to make any changes in the structure, i.e. moving, deleting or adding new items to it, including Planning tasks.
- restrict users from being able to convert Planning tasks into Jira issues. users will be able to create Planning tasks in structures, but they won't be able to convert them, so they will only work locally like folders or Memos.

I hope this helps. If you have more questions about Structure, please reach out to us directly at our support portal.

Best regards,
Stepan

@Stepan Kholodov (Tempo)  Thank you for replying back.

To give more context, for now the users are limited from creating any Planning Tasks due to effectors being disabled.

I want to know if there is any option to hide "Planning Tasks" altogether. That is prevent users from even seeing that its being available under "ADD +"

It is simply not possible - no Structure module disables it, and there is no dark feature that can do the same. Planning tasks are hardcoded and can't be hidden.
Granting the View permission for the structure greys out the Add button altogether, effectively hiding the presence of Planning tasks as well.

Best regards,
Stepan
