Is there a way to view all Epic Progress in one Gadget

We have several epics going on at one time and would like to see the progress with one chart or gadget. Is there one that exists? We have a custom charts addon but do not see if that will provide the information we are looking for.

Hello @Ben Van Walbeek

Here's the use case which may be helpful.

You can try to use Time in Status for Jira Cloud and its Pivot table function. You can set it up according to your needs and get the epic progress in a Gadget view.

This add-on is developed by my team and is free for using up to 10 users. If you have any questions. Also, there is a 30-days free trial.

Check out how it can help you.

Hi, @Ben Van Walbeek! Is your custom charts app providing custom JQL charting? This may help you create a customized version of the chart you need.

Hi @Ben Van Walbeek ,

You can try Reports - Charts and Graphs for Jira app developed by our team to create various reports, charts and graphs for your Jira projects.

Here is a sample report that shows number of issues by Epic and Status.

Number of issues by epic and status.png

  1. You first define your data source, it can be projects or custom JQL you type.
  2. Set Y-Axis, in your case "number of issues" or "sum of story points"
  3. Set X-Axis, in your case "Parent/Epic Link" and "Status"

Below you can see an article about creating custom charts and graphs in Jira with our app.

How to Create Custom and Flexible Reports, Charts and Graphs in Jira

Here is our live demo dashboard where you can see and modify sample reports and play with them.

Hope it helps.

Hi @Ben Van Walbeek

You can try out our add-on to view the progress of your Epic and its hierarchy.

Issue Hierarchy Reports

And generate reports such as:

- Sum up values to see overall progress for your Epic Hierarchy

- View the full hierarchy of linked issues, Portfolio/Advanced Roadmaps, Epics, and Subtasks

- Apply filters to put the focus on the relevant data only

- Excel like editing for all the values right on the report and see real time progress updates

- Export to a CSV file

- Embedded Epic Hierarchy on Issue Screen

- Dashboard Gadgets
