Do ROVO agents interact with other AI agents from other vendors?

could you please let me know if ROVO agents can interact with other AI agents from other vendors? If yes, via API or other paths?

Hi @Zlatina Kolchakova - welcome to the Community,

there is no API or MCP available to call Rovo Agents directly. There is however a few options to get Agents to interact

1) Work on the same Jira work items

The new "Agents in Jira" experience lets you assign work items to Rovo Agents as well as 3rd party Agents. That way, you can have multiple Agents work on the same thing and use outputs from each other to a certain extend.

2) Webhook/Web requests+ Rovo Action in Automations

You can build Automations that are triggered by a Webhook and also send web requests from the same rule. If you add a Rovo Action to that Automation, you can "call" that Agent from external ressources and have the answer sent back.

1. External Agent/system triggers webhook
2. Agent does its thing
3. Send Agent response per web request to external agent/system

Note: Agents in Automations do not yet run any Actions on their own. You only get the Agent response as text/json and can "manually" act on that with more Automation actions.

Again: Aside from Atlassian MCP where you can use Rovo search, there are no public APIs for any other Rovo features yet.

I wouldn't know for sure as I don't work for Atlassian.

With the Agents in Jira feature it all points in a more collaborative direction when it comes to agent-to-agent communication. But I've not seen any roadmap items on that.
