Is there a way to disable slash shortcuts in the web editor in Jira Software Web?  Or to change the shortcut key?

It doesn't make sense to use slash for shortcuts somewhere where people are likely to be typing paths.  For example, if I type /data followed by a space I end up with today's date instead of "/data ". Note that I typed /data, not /date.  Thanks.

Agreed - this is awful UX.

It's made MUCH worse when you're entering text in a WYSIWYG editor which is in a modal popup, and you press [esc] to clear the popup... and your whole modal popup disappears!

@atlassian: please allow us to turn this functionality off through the WYSIWYG toolbar, and for it to _stay_ off in a setting in our account - not a browser cookie - so this is reflected everywhere I log in to Atlassian in a browser.

Thanks for raising that. I am currently searching for a solution to get rid of this. It is so annying not only for when you type paths but also for writing this/or/that.

I guess we must be thankful Atlassian didn't decide to use the dot.

This "feature" behaves so annyoing.... I regularily loose typed text, or the text cursor goes al over the place,... you can't just type what you think or what you have to note down for others.... at least please improve that thing. After I typed spaces and more than, like, 100 characters the pop up should realize I don't want to insert anything!
