After changing Jira URL, BigPicture Enterprise schedules have data corrupt error

All was working correctly until changed the Jira URL...

  • After changing the URL,  can now longer access as admin and whenever go to BP gantt, a data corrupt message is displayed.
  • Have checked jira global permissions has atlassian-addons-admin added for almost all items.
  • Have reverted back to the original Jira URL but it did not solve the issue.
  • It appears that BP now is not seeing the Jira project spaces
  • Don't have access to the Admin now to clear cache
  • Don't want to uninstall/re-install BP since not confident it won't affect existing project data
  • Have logged a ticket with both Atlassian and BP support but no resolution yet.

Has anyone else run into this issue and have a resolution?

Hello @Scott Hassell

As per the Update your product and site URL  documentation, doing so can negatively affect third party apps.

Does updating an Atlassian app's URL impact the apps connected to it?

The above child document includes a link to a list of the top vendor apps and whether or not they are compatible with URL changes.BP is on the list as supported accommodating URL changes, but perhaps something changed in the process since they were added to the list.

Can you clarify what you meant by "After changing the URL,  can now longer access as admin "? What admin feature were you trying to access, and what was the response?

Hello @Scott Hassell

I would keep this with Appfire support, not spend more time on Jira project permissions.

Based on your description, BigPicture did not recover cleanly from the Jira URL change. Atlassian documents that changing the Jira site URL can break Marketplace apps because they may still reference the old URL, and for current compatibility details they point customers back to the app vendor.

Also in Cloud without Uninstall and Install you can't clear App Cache yourself like in Data Center.
