i would like to delete my account but it is "managed by an outside organization"

How can I delete my account when it is "managed by an outside organization"?  This is the message I get when I go into account management and scroll down to the Delete Account section.  There is no information provided about which organization is managing my account or how to contact them.

 

The reason I want to delete my account is that it was put into a paid status for the Jora service, not by me!  Thankfully I noticed in time and was able to cancel to avoid the premium charges.  I don't want this to happen again.  Atlassian feels like a deceptive company that I would very much like to dissociate from.

Hi @kingpete 

Can you provide screenshots, as there is no scroll to delete account section.

If your email domain is not claimed by the Atlassian Instance you are in, then this should not be an error, as you don't use SSO in this instance and your user can be deleted from this Cloud instance.

Yes I got the section wrong -- it is under "Account Preferences"... here is a screenshot.  Thank you.

I should note that I have been trying to cancel my "subscriptions" as well -- was able to cancel Jira, but there is a "Rovo" subscription that does not provide a cancellation option.

Hi @kingpete 

So there is an Atlassian instance, probably by your company, where the domain is claimed, the admins of this company can delete your account from this instance, you can't.

But if there is user provisioning your account will be added again, so contact the IT department and/or Atlassian admins of the company domain.

You or we here on the community can't fix this for you.

Hello @kingpete 

This message means that the account is managed by one of your identity providers. To be able to delete your account, this needs to be done through your IdP. This is either Okta, Azure AD,etc.

I was wondering if this might be the case... my email is associated with Okta.  Any idea how to send them a request?  I appreciate your help, but this feels way more painful than it should be.
