how to send email from jira sd(Not An Automatic)

I want to send an email to the specific user from jira sd without using any add-ons.

I know one way but using that we can send mail to the group only.

Hi @AKSHAY THAKARE,

 

Please note that there are different ways in which you will be able to send an email notification to users from JIRA Service Desk. First, we need to know if the user whom you are going to send the email is a customer or an Agent or collaborator who will just be able to access the JIRA Service desk Issue. 

 

Also, the email notification which you are trying to send using the "Send email" option on your admin UI is available only for JIRA administrators. Basically, this functionality is available for JIRA Administrator to notify user for any event that will be happening on the instance. For example, maintenance notification, rebuilding index, upgrade or even an outage.  Alternatively, you can use JIRA Announcement Banner if you are using a JIRA Server instance and the Announcement will appear for all the user who has access to your instance. These are the only two methods which are available to notify users for maintenance notification.

 

If you would like to share the request from your JIRA Service desk project with some other user in your instance, you will be able to use the share option which is available on the request. 

Also if you would like to share the request with other customers to notify them about the request you can add them as Request participant to the request. Please see the page on Adding request participants for your reference.
