how to directly access the email inbox that is part of jira service desk

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Receiving requests by email

The instructions indicated that, once one sets up the email address, then a test email is sent to one's email inbox using the attlassian/jiraservicedesk inbox...i have no way to locate that inbox

It's talking about the test email you should get from it, not the email box JIRA is reading.
