Hi, We're very new to Jira Service Desk. I wanted to look into getting the tickets in my email, but in all the KB articles I read it said to go to settings (with a picture of the settings gear). I do not see the settings gear anywhere.
Could this mean that I'm not set up with the correct permissions or is it just my eyes?
you are probably on Cloud and you are probably on new UI. We need to know exactly what you are trying to do here. I'm guessing you want to enable issue creation and commenting via email? If so then maybe this will help - go to Project > Settings > Email requests and set up the email channel. Once you get to the right setting screens the documentation generally will apply.
Thanks for answering. I wanted to see if I could get tickets forwarded to my email.
I was on the new UI, but anyway, I switched back & I still don't see the settings gear or the word "settings" anywhere.
Is it "Project" or "Projects"? I only see "Projects".
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

I think what you are trying to do is to set up your notifications? It sounds like you want to be "notified" when certain events happens: ticket created, commented, resolved, etc. Assuming so focus there. Lots of good documentation on Atlassian's site for this as well as existing threads on notifications.

I see what you're saying. I know I sound like an idiot, so here's what I see - no "settings.

So, maybe permissions? I'm supposed to be a super duper admin like the rest of my team but maybe they didn't do that?
