if I understood correctly, in the standard configuration of Jira Service Desk cloud custom fields can be displayed only in the right part of the issue. Do you know that there is a way to display custom fields as on Jira Service Desk server and that is as tab in the central part of the screen ?
I wish there was a way to do this! The current system is bizarre, especially when dealing with cases that might have a lot of fields.
I've taken to creating an automation rule that calls the fields into the description of the ticket, so for our onboarding tickets, I'll change the description to read
Name: {{FirstName}} {{LastName}}
Department: {{Department}}
And so on.
That workaround only goes so far though, if you have dynamic fields that may only need to be shown if they have content.

Unfortunately it's not the first time that I find things missing in Jira cloud that are instead in Jira server.
