Hi,
we have about 30 people in our company, mostly using JIRA and Confluence. Five of them are working with SD.
I also have the tickmark (User management - application access).
Yesterday I removed the tickmark at SD, because I am not using it. Suddenly I lost my whole administration rights.
Does anyone has the same problem?
Hello,
You should look at the Global permissions to find out, which groups are defined for the Jira Administrator permissions.
When you set an aplication access, it means that your user is included in the default group, which is defined this application. You can see the default group for Service Desk, if you go to Applications -> Application access.
I think that this default group for Service desk is set for the Jira Administrator permissions in the Global Permisisons. When you give your user the Service Desk access, you are included in this default group and automatically receive admin permissions. When you delete the Service Desk access, you are removed from this group and you loose admin permissions.
Hi Matveeev. Thx for your response.
Alright, that helped! We changed it. Thx!
Other question: In my own account, I am not able to remove the tickmark. I am administrator and I do not use SD. Am I "forced" to have it?

You are not forced to have SD license. I think you should check your groups. I never met such behaviour
