Hi there,
It's confused me a while, is it a role or security type?
I would say it's a security type.
The is a role customer service desk but what on that image is the portal access which isn't a role.
Thank you for your replying.
What is security type in Jira Service Desk?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Rather than a definition, the service desk portal access defines what the customers can do from the portal view when you apply it to the permission scheme.
In some cases even if you want to grant extra permissions like assign tickets, this won't work anyway since this is a JSD limitation.
I hope it helps.

So basically I need to give this role permission to create issues, add attachments and comment. Right?
Also I think of Transition issues since customers can approve.
Is there a minimal set of permissions customers should have?

OK, I found article on Atlassian that shows important permissions.
Citate:
The Service Desk customer - Portal Access security type doesn't have the following required permissions:
Browse Projects
Create Issues
Add Comments
Others are not important and we can delete this role from there.
