Trying to get the customer to enter more information in Jira Service Desk

Barbara September 12, 2018

I would like to prompt the customer for more information when they submit a bug report.  The information that I would like is the version number of the product experiencing the bug  (i.e. Affected Version).   I have been able to successfully add that field to the customer bug submission form, but it saying that there are no matches.  I think that this is becuase the affected version field is somehow linked to the list of "Releases", but it appears that there are no "Releases" in a Jira service desk project.

Any advice?

Hello,

There is the Release feature in a Service Desk project. You should be a Project Admin to add a release. The menu is called Versions in the project settings.

Thanks.  I was looking for it, but didn't find it (didn't scroll down far enough).
