(I know this question has been asked before but I believe my context is a bit different).
We have 1 parent ticket, with 4 sub-tasks. Each of the 4 sub-tasks have different workflows because they are for different teams/areas and are unique to them.
The ask: is it possible for Jira to recognize when all 4 sub-tasks are moved to a 'done' status (any status in green) that would in turn transition the parent ticket to Done?
I've seen articles where this sort of thing is somewhat easily done on Jira Cloud - but we don't have that and also, when the parent and sub-tasks workflows are identical (which we also don't have).
I've spent a good many hours trying different things from reading through the forums here but am not coming up with much luck.
Are you talking about actual "Sub-Task" issues or ones that you are referring to as such (eg. tasks or issues in separate project that must be completed before this issue can be completed). I ask because the solution would be different depending on your answer.
Hi! Actual sub-task issue types are what the 4 sub-tasks are comprised of. And for each, we'll call it A, B, C, D all have unique workflows and transitions, but all utilize a 'done' status to represent complete. (Some may use Approved, Closed, etc., to = done)

Ok, so each subtask has the same "Parent" issue. I have never used this where the sub-tasks are in different projects though (assumption here?). I also assume you have tried the "For: Epic (parent)" branch as this is the one that Atlassian provides for you (close Epic when all issues are closed).
Would you be able to share you automation logic? You also said that you are not on Cloud, may I know what platform you are on and version?

Hi! No, all parent and sub-tasks are housed within the same project. It works abit like this:
Parent Ticket: Project A
Sub-Task A - Team 1
Sub-Task B - Team 2
Sub-Task C - Team 3
Sub-Task D - Team 4
We use Jira 8.20.11

I see. I am on cloud, but looking at the documentation for Jira Server & DC, it appears that similar capability should be available.
A screen shot of your current rule would be helpful. Would you be able to provide it?
