Time stamping approvals and exporting time stamps

I need to be able to export my issues with full history including time-stamped approvals. I can see comments, in my exports but not approvals. I have a 2 step approval on most of my request types and ideally I'd like a time stamp for each (using Next Gen projects). Thanks!

Pete's option #2 with automation seems like a good idea! And @Zoryana Bohutska _SaaSJet_ suggestion of Issue History sounds interesting too:
