Suddenly, the edit ticket page for our Service Desk project turned into an awful, unreadable mess of fields we do not use, and the ones we do, are not there anymore.
The screen looks clogged with controls and even there's some weird functionality to search for missing fields. Why would I use an application that needs a "where's my worklog field" feature?
How can we switch back to the old, simpler view?
As far as we know no one from our staff has permissions to make any changes to the views so we think it must have been some kind of update maybe.

Hi Adrian, I wonder if you could share a screenshot of what you are seeing now? Cloud has changed a lot over the last year+ and changes regularly so I want to be sure I can effectively reply to your specific reference here.
Hazarding a guess here...
you might go to your personal settings and disable Jira Labs.
New Navigation (avatar upper right): click on gear, personal Jira settings
Old Navigation (avatar bottom left): click on avatar and personal settings
please note that at some point the old issue view will disappear altogether so you might wish to spend time on the new issue view and update your layout (click on the Configure link when in the issue detail view - bottom left)
