Something went wrong when adding a team member

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!

I've just created a new project and am using the demo desk to trial this product. I can't add people to the team (only me on there atm, so should be able to add a couple more). I get the something went wrong, please try again later message.

Hello @Kevin Wiltshire ,

Thanks for reaching out, and it looks like you are using a Jira Service Desk Cloud Free account and checking the details of your site, there are already 3 licensed users with jira service desk product access, leading you to receiving this error.  

You can find more details about the free plan on the link below:

To avoid this, when you add a new user it’s necessary to uncheck the “Jira Service Desk” option, so they won’t receive a license seat for the application and the user will be created.

If you need a new user to have a license, you need to either upgrade the license tier to include more than thee service desk agents or remove all but two user from group jira-servicedesk-users first, so that one of the free license seats will become available to reallocate to the new user and you will be able to add a newly licensed user.
