I've configured slack integration and it's working just fine. When people add a comment through Slack it's always a customer visible comment. I want the opposite behaviour (i.e. slack comments should always be internal comments). Is there a way to change this?

We agree with you that the ability to select the visibility of comments added through Slack application to JSM/JSD issues is a crucial functionality.
That being said, we create the following feature request to implement this possibility in the official Jira and Slack integration app:
Comments sent from Slack to JSM are always public to customers
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
