I use Jira Service Desk on premise version.
For my Jira project for HR tickets I want HR group to be able to CREATE new tickets however I want HR to be able to add requested participants outside of HR.
I've only been able to configure permissions so that Service Desk Customers manually added can be added as requested participants. Seems you have to be a Service Desk Customer to be in the requested participants list.
How can I create it so a sub group in the company can create but anyone can be added as a request participant.
Request participants must be Customers of the HR project. If users have Jira SW license then they can be added as a watcher if they have browse permissions.
Thank you Jack. The issue is I only want HR to file the tickets but as they add the hiring managers, trainers, etc and other as participants they need to be able to do their tasks related to the ticket as well.
Only other thing I can think of to limit who can file a ticket is use some automation rule that if it is created by someone not in a specific group, send them an email saying Thank you but No and close the ticket. This will keep the original ticket ensuring it is only coming from HR.
