Permission scenarios for jira service desk

Good day folks,

This is a general inquiry in regards to permissions in jira/service desk. Can the below conditions be met with group/user permissions in Jira?

  1. Group1 needs to manage tickets through email within a small group
  2. Group2 needs to manage tickets from a single departments through the help desk
  3. Group3 needs to manage tickets from the entire organization through the help desk
  4. Group4 needs to manage tickets from outside clients through the help desk

Hi @Alan Scott

Jira and service desk will most likely support a permission structure like described. 

Do you have one project configured as an entry point for incoming requests or does each group have their own project, used as an entry point for incoming request?
