Good day,

 

Please can you assist me, im not receiving invitation emails or recovery link emails to reset my password.

 

Please can you check this email address for me?

Hi @Lyle Kippen , thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

Asking for help (and including your email address) was the right thing to do. Atlassian Support needs to take action in this situation, and since Cloud Free accounts aren't able to open support tickets directly through the "contact support" form, we need to assist you through Community. Having the email address listed publicly isn't ideal long-term, but we do need to see it and it can be edited out (as you've already done).

For the actual problem you're having - our mail delivery service will pause its attempts to deliver mail if particular errors are returned from your mail server. This is as much a safety feature for your mail server (so it isn't flooded by messages for inboxes that don't exist or if it can't receive more email) as it is to keep our mail service in good standing with spam classification services. In your case, the mail server your company uses returned this error:

550: 550 Invalid Recipient - https://community.mimecast.com/docs/DOC-1369#550 [Oh8ysSOUOdqxNARZi8VI_A.za5]

I've cleared the error out from our mail service, so additional tries to get the password reset link should be delivered. Note that if your mail server is still returning this error, the pause could go back in effect and we might need to clear it again. Please double-check that there are no typos in the email address, and try sending an email to it from another account outside your domain (such as a gmail account) to ensure that delivery is working as you expect.

@Lyle Kippen ,

 

I would suggest you to reach out to you Jira admin. Community can hardly help on issue related to authentication/password recovery situations. I would also recommend not to share your email over internet, to avoid getting spammed.
